Cause Description:
We are a diverse group, with different strengths, needs, and comfort levels. The only thing we have in common is dying from MBC or losing a loved one to this horrible disease. Right now, it's looking like the core focus is to raise awareness and attention to the lack of information and funding for Metastatic Breast Cancer. Education is important, and with education comes understanding for the need for better research funding. Our death rate has not changed in decades. Researchers are leaving the metastatic field because there isn't enough funding for them to have a living wage in grants. That needs to change.
