Cause Description:
My cause is the abolishment of Animal Abuse, Animal Cruelty and exploitations of animals anywhere. Since most people have no idea, about what happens to animals on the farm, shelter, zoos, in the wild. Not to mention what happens to a neighbor's dog or cat etc. So the key to stopping the horrors that animals suffer everyday is awareness. You can fix a problem unless you are aware of the problem and issues. Being aware is just the start, being outspoken is also needed as well. So to that end, I am the webmaster for www.defendanimals.net. This is a website that makes anyone who views it aware of the plight of animals. I would say the website is a news aggregator, in that it provides news feeds from major animal protection organization. News from social media sights, and also to social media sights. The website deals with all issues about animal suffering. However, there are victories for animals as well. The site is 100% Pro- Animal and has very large following. The mission to fight the cause is via the website Defending Animals Online. The problem is maintaining the site. The server cost are expensive, and programming issues cost money and time as well. The site is expanding to include a database for missing dogs and cats. The goal is to cover every state. Again, this is expensive, but for animals it is worth. Currently it the site is maintained 40 hours a week. The funds are my own. I am asking if you view the sight and think it is a worthy cause. Then consider a donation of any size to help fund the website. The amount you choose is whatever you want to donate. I don't really expect to many donations, but anything will help. The website provides more information then you ever wanted to know. But after a year the website has been viewed by almost 83,000 visitors. The twitter page has over 5,000 followers, because people care about animals. Thank You, Mike
