Cause Description:
Catbout Colonies is dedicated to seeking out abandoned and feral cats, educating and assisting their caregivers with trapping, spaying and returning their strays to their colonies in order to prevent more homeless kittens. Mission Catbout Colonies, Inc.'s primary mission is to spay and neuter feral cat colonies in the Central Florida area. We seek out feral colonies, trap the feral cats, spay/neuter the cats, and return the cats to their place of origin. If the colonies do not have a human caretaker to feed them on a regular basis, and, otherwise, lack a sustainable food source, we take over the feeding of the colonies. For those colonies with a caretaker, we strive to lessen the burden on the caretaker by donating food and placing feeders on site. As we expand, we are dedicating more of our resources toward educating communities, training volunteers, and developing partnerships to further our endeavor. Our over-arching goal is the prevention of the needless suffering of animals, specifically feral cats, as a result of overpopulation.
