Cause Description:
Our mission is to provide FREE mediation services and training in conflict resolution skills to all individuals and businesses of Washington County, Maryland, in order to prevent the negative physical, emotional and economic effects of conflict on individuals, families, neighborhoods and organizations. Our purpose is to reduce interpersonal and community conflict by increasing the usage of non-violent conflict resolution strategies and making mediation more accessible to individuals in the Washington County area. This is accomplished by providing, promoting and teaching non-adversarial conflict management strategies, in the form of mediation, which helps rebuild relationships, promotes a safe and secure environment, thereby promoting a peaceful community.
