Cause Description:
The CSISD Orchestra Friends serves to benefit the students enrolled in the College Station Independent School District's Orchestra program. It seeks to further the musical and cultural awareness of students by raising funds for educational and inspirational excursions. Its past goals include raising money for a trip to New York City, where the orchestra performed in Avery Fisher hall (of the Lincoln Center); currently, the Orchestra Friends' 1998-1999 goal is to manage contributions and develop fund-raising programs so that the orchestra may accept its invitation to perform in Beijing, China during June of 1999.
