Cause Description:
Our facility is a 501 (c)3organization that gives a safe and permanent home to hard to place, neglected,abused and abandoned animals. We have approximately 70 permanent residence at this time. The animals include bears (our baby bear was tossed aside after a bit part in an animal cable-TV show) tigers, leopard (the tiger & leopard resuced from a road side animal show, both in such poor condition, close to death, now healthy and beautiful) Jaguar, panthers, raccoons iguanas, snakes, dogs, cats etc. We do educational programs to break the cycle of exotics as pets. The educational program gives children (and adults) the opportunity to come, learn, see, touch animals they may never have been able to come face to face with, let alone touch, in their life time. Our facility has taken a devastating hit from the (3) recent hurricanes. We have lost most of our cages, fencing and a barn as well as food. We are in desperate need of financial assistance to continue of educational progrms and to keep our family together.
