Cause Description:
Amounts raised through "Funding Doug" will go towards the costs of Mallory's emergency liver transplant surgery, hospitalization, medications, and care. Mallory named her new liver "Doug" after the animated TV show character Doug, who hated liver and onions. Sept. 2007 update - Izzie has been added to the name of the cause because it was necessary for Mallory to have a second liver transplant on September 17, 2007. She has named her new liver "Izzie," after the Grey's Anatomy character played by Katherine Heigl.
