Cause Description:
Ramapo Valley Chorus is a 100-voice women's acappella chorus dedicated to preserving the art of barbershop harmony and barbershop style through performance and education. We are directed by Renee Craig, arranger, composer, Queen of Harmony, and performer. We are a three-time International Champion chorus in the Sweet Adelines International organization. We perform primarily in the New Jersey and New York area. We have recently embarked on a project to offer ourselves as entertainment for other non-profit groups trying to raise funds for their own causes. We are supported by funding from the Bergen County Arts Council and we are members of the Ridgewood Arts council and the Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce. In addition to our arts and education orientation, women find our organization empowering and an opportunity for personal growth.
