Crestmont's goal is is to kindle the innate spirit of inquiry by helping each child gain control over his or her own learning process. For 30 years Crestmont, a parent-owned and run cooperative, has taught kids in grades K-5, with 15-18 children per class. Each classroom is staffed by a credentialed teacher, teacher's aides, and participating parents.
