Established in 1988, Food & Friends serves as the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area's only non-profit organization combating hunger and treating malnutrition. We serve over 1,000 people living with HIV/AIDS and other life-challenging illnesses by delivering freshly-prepared meals, groceries, and nutrition education. Services are provided free of charge to individuals and families living within a 5,600 square mile area throughout Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. Thus far Food & Friends has delivered over 3,525,399 meals to more than 5,550 individuals.
