Cause Description:
Alliance for Animals promotes animal rights, alleviate animal suffering, foster a humane ethic and raise the status of animals in our community. AfA promotes public awareness of the needs of animals through public education and direct delivery of needed services. Our program priorities are reducing pet overpopulation and rescuing stray and abandoned animals. AfA's Mobile Action Clinic is a high-volume, low-cost community veterinary clinic in inner-city Boston dedicated to providing quality spay/neuter and other medical services at low cost for the public. AfA's Pet Adoption Center provides rescue and adoption services for stray and abandoned animals, humane education and assistance or referral information for all animal related problems. We ascribe to a no-kill philosphy. In 1998 we added Rabbit Rescue to our program services and we have been listed for the past two years as one of only 100 charities elected for inclusion in The Catalogue for Philanthropy.
