The EBR/COA (East Baton Rouge Parish Council On Aging) is a local Area Agency On Aging. We serve a elderly population of 70,000. Last year, EBR/COA provided over 560,000 units of service to 20,000 individual seniors. We serve approximately 1,000 meals per day through our "Meals On Wheels" program. EBR/COA operates 17 congregate feeding sites and 21 health screening clinics parish-wide. We provide in-home assistance by our staff of homemakers, aids, home-health nurses, respite care-givers, and other programs. Over 1/3 of our annual budget secured by donations and contributions.
