The Humane Society of Pagosa Springs benefits the animals and the community by: · Providing quality care and shelter for homeless and lost animals · Reuniting lost animals with their owners · Placing orphan pets in loving, responsible lifelong environments · Reducing the overpopulation of unwanted pets through public education about the need to spay and neuter and through low cost spay/neuter programs · Keeping the public informed of current health issues · Advocating appropriate humane standards, proper care and respect for animals · Striving to enrich the relationship between animals, their owners and the community, and endeavoring to give every dog and cat the experience of being loved and wanted.
