Cause Description:
The mission of Moments of Hope Outreach is to give Hope to neighbors experiencing homelessness and those living in poverty in the Richmond area, by providing weekly healthy meals, life-sustaining supplies, health screenings, and connecting them with local, state, and federal health, housing and employment resources. We provide a safe organized environment for charitable groups and families to give back to their community in ways that are impactful for everyone involved. We provide the following services: Mo Hope Pantry provides food & hygiene items, assistance with replacing photo IDs & applying for benefits like Medicaid & SNAP, and prayer to to 350-400 residents of Hanover County weekly. Saturday Servings community outreach provides a hot meal, canned goods & hygiene items via our Mo Hope Mobile Pantry, bike repair via our Bike Shop, health screenings via our Ask the Nurse table, assistance with replacing photo IDs & applying for benefits like Medicaid & SNAP via our Help Desk, and prayer via our Let's Pray table to 400-550 struggling residents of the City of Richmond & Henrico County weekly. Homeless Outreach providing tents, sleeping bags, supplies, assisting accessing shelter & housing resources. We provide motel stays as Emergency Shelter during dangerous weather.
