Cause Description:
Connections School of Atlanta, Inc. is a private school for adolescents aged 14 to 21 with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Sensory Processing Disorders, ADHD, and other neurodevelopmental differences when relating and communicating. We are dedicated to creating a safe and engaging school community that celebrates diversity, embraces each student’s unique profile, and promotes collaboration among educators, parents, students, and the local community. We strive to challenge each student; support each student’s individual learning style; foster cooperation, relationship-building and problem solving skills, and encourage community participation. We support college prep and/or vocational study as preferred by and appropriate for each student, with the goal of achieving the greatest possible and feasible degree of independence. We provide an experiential, hands-on learning experience that incorporates both academics and life skills.
