Cause Description:
We are a community group who formed due too DDT contamination in our yards. We continue to teach community empowerment and advocate to government agencies, local and federal, to be responsive to the situation. Our community is low income and well blended, we are considered an Enviornmental Justice group. We want to stop the previous cycle of illness, death and no say in what happens to us, and get people out of harms way, if that is what needs to be done. We have realized that some in our community will remain so we are dedicated to making this a much safer place to be year by year by year. We are proud of our work and feel that we are being part of the solution. We are happy to present to interested parties and hope our work benifits not just our community but any community in need.
