Founded in 1941, Catholic Charities of Shiawassee & Genesee Counties is a comprehensive health and human service organization with the sole purpose of strengthening and preserving families by providing quality, comprehensive, human service programs. Not Catholic? No problem! We strive to serve all people. Catholic Charities provides basic needs such as water, nutritious food, clothing, household and personal care items. In addition to prevention/education and outreach services, we offer counseling for a wide range of mental health and substance abuse issues. For many, the newly renovated Center for Hope is the beginning of a new path to recovery, providing basic needs items, shower and laundry facilities and a Hamilton Health Network mini clinic offering basic health services and information.
