Cause Description:
My Husband, Robert, fell getting out of the bath tub 8 years ago. He broke his femur bone in two places. He walked with a limp before that, due to bone degeneration. After his surgery from falling out of the tub, the Orthopedic Surgeon told him that he would never walk again, and always be in a wheelchair. Today, sometimes Robert can take a few steps with the walker, and other days he just cannot do it. Robert had three mini strokes during the passed 4 years and was in a coma for around 10 days a few years ago. Since than, Robert has not been the same. He is confused, some of the time. What brought him out of the coma was a medication that they started giving him and that he is on now that is called Lactulose. If he does not take that, he will go back into a coma again. Robert is going for Physical Therapy, twice per week. That makes him tired. Because of the hospital stays and out of pocket expenses we are behind in payments on Medical Bills. We also need funds to fix our van that is equipped to carry his wheelchair. Oil Change, Tune Up, etc. We have a Rep Payee that takes care of our funds that we get from our Social Security Disability Checks, and we also have a separate checking account of our own to put the little money that she sends to us, in. We recently asked her for $100 for the oil change and to get some other stuff done to our van. She (the Rep Payee) said that there were no funds available to us. She told us to take it out of the funds that she sends to us for food, gas, house hold items such as detergeant, body soap, etc., etc. We recently had one of our old credit card lenders send us in the mail a letter stating that if we pay $869.00 by August 15, 2017, they will forget the rest of the $2700.00 that we owe them. So we would need at least $1000.00 by August 15, 2017. Below is described how much and what for the rest of the needed money is for. We have some Medical Bills that need to be paid. Robert's Orthopedic Surgeon will not see him until he pays his bill of about $600.00. We also have other medical bills that need to be paid. About $2000.00 worth. We are trying to pay a Lawyer that the Oil Company that was delivering our oil turned over to a collection agency and they in turn turned it over to a Lawyer who has a lean on our house until the bill is paid, which is close to $3000.00 . . . So we are kind of in a bad situation. Also, we have to take our car to the garage and get it fixed, like the oil changed and so on and so forth. That will cost around $850 and our inspection is coming up this Friday. We would greatly appreciate any support that we can get. <<<<<<
