Cause Description:
Founded in 1968, Sociedad Latina is Boston's oldest Latino youth organization. Our mission is to work in partnership with youth and families to create the next generation of Latino leaders who are confident, competent, self-sustaining and proud of their cultural heritage. We promote Latino leadership and create a Boston community that supports youth success through our holistic “Pathways to Success” positive youth development model, which connects young people and their families with ten years of intensive, culturally and linguistically responsive programs that capitalize on their strengths and assets. Our approach works in partnership with families and a wide network of cross-sector partners to build young people’s skills and competencies in education, civic engagement, workforce development and arts & culture.
