Cause Description:
We are a volunteer based, non-profit organization on a mission to significantly reduce the problem of Pet Overpopulation in the counties of York, Chester, and Lancaster, South Carolina. We have established the following programs to achieve this goal. 1) Animal Relocation Program - Providing a safe haven for animals from local high-kill shelters and arrange transport to safe rescue groups in other parts of the US. We work with the shelters to reduce the euthanasia rate. 2) Spay/Neuter Shuttle Program - A monthly shuttle providing the community with easy access to low-cost spay/neuter services. We work to prevent unwanted animals and reduce the shelter intake. 3) Community Out Reach Program - Educating the community by raising awareness of adoptable animals at the shelters. Provide fencing and dog houses to reduce animals tethered to chains. Work with legislators to change laws. Present programs in schools teach children how to care for their animals.
