Cause Description:
The Bishop Dudley Hospitality House is a nonprofit, ecumenical ministry that provides emergency daytime and overnight shelter to the poor and homeless in the Sioux Empire. We provide a safe and caring environment where all people served are treated with respect and dignity. One of our goals is to provide basic services and to help our guests become self-sufficient. We have a women’s and family center as well as a men’s center that offers safe daytime shelter including facilities for showers, refreshments, laundry, and a phone/computer for job and housing searches. To assist our guests with their nutritional needs we offer a lunch Monday through Friday that is provided by local businesses, churches and volunteers in our community. Our mission is to welcome all people in need to a caring and supportive Christian environment created to encourage and empower people to live with dignity and achieve self-sufficiency and ‘together, let’s say Homelessness, Not in My City!
