As one of six regions of the American Association of Museums (AAM), the Western Museums Association represents the museum communities in Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington, and advocates , promotes and supports the role of museums in bettering and enriching the diverse and dynamic cultural life of the western United States.
