Cause Description:
The Florence Douglas Senior Center serves 3,000 plus participants age 50+ each month. Established in 1977, the Center is a 14,000-sq. ft. facility that opens its doors every day to offer preventative and educational health programs, as well as nutritional and consumer advice, along with social and recreational activities. The FDC, managed by the Vallejo Senior Citizen Council, Inc., is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit, multi-purpose service center that provides over 50 regular programs to seniors. We operate with a small, very dedicated, professional staff and the great assistance of a large pool of volunteers.
