The ONE17 Foundation helps fund adoption stories that influence others to act on behalf of the orphan and create a ripple effect of care. Our dream is to help fund 1000 adoption stories by 2050. Finances are often the biggest obstacle to adoption. Because adoption stories are powerful, our grants focus on those who are willing and able to share their story openly and broadly in order to influence others to act on behalf of the orphan. There are 163,000,000 orphans in the world. Many of them cannot or will not be adopted. But we believe our work can create a ripple effect of care. “I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples” – Mother Teresa.
