Cause Description:
WST promotes, presents, and celebrates the art of storytelling for adults from a wide variety of cultures and traditions, through performances, educational programs, and collaborative projects. The goal of Washington Storytellers Theatre is to foster the growth and appreciation of storytelling for adults in our community, the Washington Area. We carry out our mission: a) by presenting approximately fifteen performances each season featuring one or more professional storytellers chosen from among the top local, national, and international tellers; b) by offering a variety of workshops taught by outstanding teachers and storytellers to enable teachers, parents, librarians, and artists to increase their skills in storytelling; and c) by collaborating with other local organizations to be of direct service to the community through our art form.
