Cause Description:
Horse Spirit is a non-profit organization using equine-assisted activities to help individuals and families dealing with physical, mental, and social challenges. It serves the needs of veterans struggling with Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), along with at-risk youth in the local community. These activities are provided at no cost to these groups. The sessions are facilitated by veteran mentors and a licensed therapist. Funding comes wholly from contributions from veterans' groups, local businesses, fundraising events, and individual contributions.
