Cause Description:
Let’s Help Kids was started by a 6-year-old girl in 2010. We seek to improve the lives of elementary-aged children who are living in financial hardship by providing them with experiences and gifts of happiness that other social service agencies and charities cannot offer. We provide the extras that are so often overlooked. Items such as bikes, birthday cakes, trips to the movies, summer camp, and Halloween costumes that are mainstays of childhood. But for a child who must do without, there is a feeling of not being normal, shame, and sadness. We believe in uplifting the spirits of children who need it most so that they can feel normal, proud, and happy--the way most of us remember our own childhood. We have helped over 2,000 children in need since 2010.
