Cause Description:
This page is being dedicated to a stray/feral colony of 20 cats. These animals reside in an unoccupied garage within Clarion Borough, Pennsylvania. These cats are being slowly poisened to death, and they need help - Now.  I have been maintaining and caring for these cats since February 2016 - on my own time, and with my own dime. On average, I typically go through at least 1, 40 lb. bag of cat food each week. I have been diligently working to gain the trust of these cats and more than half are now approachable and can be handled. These cats are seen as a nuisance by the neighboring residents and their presence is not welcomed. Recently, somebody has been intentionally removing their food & water supply and is maliciously filling their dishes with anti-freeze. Death by antifreeze poisoning is a very slow and extremely painful. It is in these animals best interest to be humanely removed from the premises. I have received permission for the homeowner as well as the Clarion Borough police department to secure this cat colony. I will be trapping, spaying & neutering, vaccinating, and relocating these cats starting on August 11th, 2016. The estimated cost for spay and neuter is as follows: Spay $65, Neuter $55. The medical cost for these cats is coming out of my own pocket. Therefore, I am asking for financial support to help give these kids a chance at a better life. The community will be quite happy as well. Spay, neuter, vaccination, and relocation is the solution to this problem - and their only chance for survival. I currently have permanent homes arranged for approximately half of the colony. I am still looking for adopters and/or fosterers for the remaining population.
