Cause Description:
The mission of Katy’s Dog Place is to provide care for abandoned and abused dogs in Clay County and the surrounding areas. We provide shelter, medical care, socialization and basic training to enable such dogs to find permanent, loving homes. In cases where adoption is not possible, we provide a home for these dogs to live out their lives in a safe, loving environment. We work with individuals, city governments, local animal shelters, rescue organizations, low cost spay and neuter organizations and other animal welfare organizations to help in the care and placement of these dogs. Katy’s Dog Place also works to reduce the number of stray and mistreated dogs in the area by educating the community in the proper care of their dogs, including spaying and neutering.
