Cause Description:
BOSS is dedicated to helping poor, homeless, and disabled people achieve health and self-sufficiency, and to fighting the root causes of poverty and homelessness. We achieve this mission using 4 strategies: Economic Development, Housing, Health, and Social Justice. Each year BOSS provides life-changing services to over 1,500 families and individuals: shelters, transitional houses, employment and training programs, drop-in centers, health services, family and youth services, leadership development training, and more. BOSS is one of the largest employers of our target population: over 50% of our staff are current and former clients who have dedicated themselves to helping others.
