Cause Description:
We call him Matt as we do not know his name. He was in a motorcycle accident along a local road called “the dragon”. It is a windy mountain road but fun to ride if you own a motor cycle. When we found him, his cycle had burned, and we could not find a wallet or other identifying papers. He is in a coma with some real chance of someday coming out of the condition. The doctors suggest constant machine therapy to keep him aware that something is going on around him to make his life better. We have the volunteers to be with him 24/7 but we need the equipment to set up a hospice room as the doctors guide us. A site has been donated close enough to the group of volunteers responsible for his care, but we need the medical and stimulation equipment that is recommended to take care of him. The cost of this equipment is $25,000, and this is the purpose of this charitable effort. This is for the equipment only, we have the building and all the volunteer staff we will need.
