Cause Description:
The mission of Rainbow RGV Community Partners is to provide for the basic needs of abused and neglected children and/or their families through community efforts in partnership with the Department of Family and Protective Services/Child Protective Services of Texas. Rainbow RGV Community Partners is also known to CPS as sponsors of the Rainbow Room. The Rainbow Room is a store like setting, emergency resource room located in the CPS offices where CPS caseworkers can obtain emergency supplies for children removed from their homes or fill special requests for children and their families. Among the items on hand will be new clothing, shoes, baby items: diapers, wipes, bottles, baby formula etc., school supplies, undergarments, personal hygiene items, cleaning supplies and non-perishable foods. We also provide community awareness and help educate the public on the prevention of child abuse and neglect.
