Cause Description:
The Rising Star Soccer Club was founded in the Fall of 1999 by a group of individuals who wanted to enhance the level soccer in Rome and throughout central New York. The idea behind the Club, was to prepare our children for competitive level play. Our mission was to develop programs, that would allow children of all skill levels, the opportunity of coming together to learn and to enhance their abilities. One very important aspect of the learning process is to teach and to have our children understand the true meaning of team work and importance of supporting and trusting one another on and off the field. While competing in state wide play, we look to our children to serve as ambassadors of our Club as well as our respective communities. Over the past few years our club has evolved in a very positive manner. We have not only grown to almost 300 members strong, but we have been successful in bringing children from various communities together as one. Through the efforts of some very dedicated volunteers, we continue to develop new ideas and programs to bring our club to the front of the soccer community. Our club has opened its doors to all children who have a love and desire for playing the game of soccer.
