Cause Description:
Pittie in Pink is a grassroots rescue organization based in Nashville, TN. Our mission is to aid dogs in need who are turned away elsewhere, due to breed, health issues, or behavioral issues. For this reason, we take in primarily bully breeds. We take in those with medical issues, those in need of behavioral training, and seniors. We pull from high-kill facilities, take in dogs who have been abandoned in the streets, and remove dogs who are suffering in abusive situations. We provide medical care and rehabilitation, and continue to care for all of the dogs in our program until they find their forever homes...whether that be a period of several months or several years. We also do outreach in our community to educate on responsible guardianship and the importance of spay and neuter; when we have available funds, we will often cover the cost of spay and neuter procedures for lower-income families in need and provide food and other supplies.
