Cause Description:
Our Friends Group raises money for library material and programs that the county library budget cannot afford. We emphasize programs for children by providing money for professional story tellers and for a summer reading program called "Summer Quest". We hope to fund a new project: "Books for Babies". This is a literacy program that acquaints mothers of newborns with the important role they play in the development of their children. It provides information on how reading to their babies will jump-start childrens' ability to read and to learn.
