High Plains Humane Society

Clovis, New Mexico

Cause Description:
The mission of the High Plains Humane Society is to reduce animal cruelty, exploitation, and neglect. We advocate for sensible public policies to institute positive change and to educate the general public on the importance of being responsible pet owners. Knowing that sterilizing animals is key to solving our over-population and high euthanasia numbers, we offer a low-income spay/neuter program. We are constantly striving to make this world a better place for our furry friends, and networking with other organizations who also share our beliefs. The High Plains Humane Society is a 501-C3 non-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible under the 501-C3 section of the IRS code. We are based through the Clovis Chamber of Commerce under the High Plains Community Development Corporation. The High Plains Humane Society organization has an ongoing low-cost spay/neuter program. Resources and funding for this program was made possible previously through a grant from the ASPCA, now through a grant from the State of New Mexico, a Grant from the State of New Mexico Spay and Neuter License Plate program and ongoing community fundraisers. “THE GREATNESS OF A SOCIETY AND ITS MORAL PROGRESS CAN BE JUDGED BY THE WAY ITS ANIMALS ARE TREATED.” – Ghandi
