Stray Pets in Need of Massachusetts, Inc, is a non-profit organization devoted to caring for homeless and abandoned pets. SPIN was formed in 1991 by Sue Webb, Animal Control Officer of Wellesley, to provide animal care beyond that funded by town budgets. In addition to caring for animals, SPIN also provides safety and humane Educational materials and makes presentations to school children and other groups. Through a grant from the AHIMSA Foundation, SPIN also provides assistance for low-income residents to spay or neuter their animals.
