Cause Description:
Cargo for Kids, a non-profit initiative, provides school supplies and basic hygiene items to homeless children in the Independence School District. Equally important,children gain a sense of dignity, pride and stability critical to a successful educational experience. Early each August, Cargo for Kids hosts a community-wide volunteer event to stuff backpacks with grade-specific supplies. The backpacks are then handed off to the School District to confidentially distribute to students throughout the year. Your participation with Cargo for Kids will benefit over 1,000 children in the Independence School District every year.
