ABOUT US What we do - Saving Lives & Building Families Pets Return Home is a nonprofit volunteer organization with a strong commitment to saving the lives of lost and homeless companion animals. We exist to eliminate unnecessary euthanasia, reuniting and building happy, lifelong families of pets and the people who love them. Our motivating force is compassion for and acceptance of all living things. Pets Return Home provides unique and essential services for dogs in need, animal rescue organizations and the public. Our Canine Care Services include: • Searching, tracking. trapping and reuniting lost dogs with their families • Modifying the behavior of 'unadoptable' canines, leading to permanent adoption • Rescuing, raising and training homeless pregnant canines and their puppies • Enabling affordable medical and convalescence companion animal care • Improving quality of life, reducing pain and enhancing recovery for canines • Providing public workshops, national chapter development and skills certification. Our Staff has more than 25 years searching, training, modifying behavior and caring for canines as well as professional certifications and degrees in medical protocols and physical therapy. Our care model is divided into four units. Animal Search and Rescue Team (ASART) The Animal Search and Rescue Team (ASART) operation provides systematic and professional lost companion- animal search and reunion assistance, education, skills development and coordination to groups and individuals. Our goal is to produce highly qualified companion-animal search and reunion teams capable of searching, tracking, trapping and reuniting a lost companion-animal with its family. We provide the tools, in the form of education, proven processes and leadership for communities to reunite lost pets & their families, reduce the stray pet population, animal shelter overcrowding and euthanasia procedures. Read More Board & Train Our Board & Train operation provides ‘low chance of adoption’ (adoption-challenge) canines with new skills and behavior modification to help them find their permanent adoption by an understanding family. Our goal is to teach a command vocabulary and instill the respect and behavior for permanent adoption by a loving family. We strive to increase adoption rates for this group while reducing the boarding & training costs. An adoption of these challenge canines will reduce euthanasia procedures and animal shelter overcrowding by providing an obedient, safe and lovable canine. Read More Animal Convalescence & Care The Animal Convalescence & Care operation provides veterinarian-equivalent and lower-cost patient care in a safe and peaceful setting. Our goal is to reduce the anxiety, cost of care, and patient recovery period for families or guardian agencies unable to sustain a challenging patient care requirement. Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Our Physical Rehabilitation operation provides professionally certified and affordable canine physical therapy.
