LCC Upward Bound, Pham Memorial Scholarship

Cause Description:
The Pham Memorial Scholarship awards will allow Leeward Community College's Upward Bound Math / Science program to send low-income disadvantaged high school juniors to west coast universities to attend summer residential college preparatory programs. Sophia Pham is a participant in our college prep. program and is one of eight childern in her family. Her father, Mung Pham, was tragically killed by a drunk driver on July 4, 1999. Mung Pham's memory will be honored and perpetuated in the successes and triumphs of Hawaii's disadvanted youth.
