Cause Description:
RIVER REGION ANIMAL RESCUE targets low-income, underserved area's. Through Community Outreach/Education Programs we help Homeless Animals, Pets and their People, Manage 8 Feral Cat Colonies, Advocate for Urban Wildlife, offer free Spay + Neuter and low-cost Veterinary referals among our activities. We also maintain a "Half-Way-House" for our rescues where they're sheltered, rehabilitated and socialized while waiting for a Home of their own. We Advocate for All Animals and fight Abuse, Cruelty, Neglect, Ignorance and Indifference with every step.Our group believes that if People were nicer to Animals; they'd be nicer to one another.Formed in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina we are just now in the process of getting our 501c3 tax-exempt status Thanks to a Grant for that purpose. We have been Incorporated as a Non-Profit in LA for some time. As an all Volunteer group every penny we have goes to the Animals and their well being. We Thank-You for your help!!
