Cause Description:
The Environmental Protection Information Center (EPIC) is a grassroots, non-profit organization actively working to protect coastal ancient forests and endangered species in the redwood region of northern California through public education, citizen advocacy and litigation. EPIC has been at the forefront of forestry reform, working for over two decades to ensure that state and federal agencies follow their mandate to uphold environmental laws and protect endangered species. We are one of the few groups in the country addressing the challenge of ecosystem protection on corporate-owned lands. Our participation in efforts to bring about acquisition of a large portion of the Sinkyone Wilderness and our long-term leadership in the campaign to save Headwaters Forest stand as examples of our commitment to lasting change.
