Cause Description:
I am fundraising for a psychiatric service dog courses plus the cost of a rescued dog. This course will help me learn to train psychiatric service dogs for myself and the community. I will help the community help find an appropriate service dog from a rescue environment and help owners learn to train their own service dogs at a lower cost. http://www.e-trainingfordogs.com/2011/07/service-dog-professional-trainer-stream/ Upon saving the amount of $3000, plus the cost to rescue a suitable dog for service work. I will be taking these courses to learn how to be a service dog trainer for myself and my own service dog, but to others as well so those that are in need can get service dogs from rescue facilities at a lower cost. I help my community Dog Rescue and I have my own site advocating for dogs and helping inform the public about dogs in general. I use my current training skills to help dogs in need by working with rescue and doing home visits with dogs that need training work. Thank you for any help you can support me with while I work, study, and work with my own PTSD and Agoraphobia demons and learn skills to train my own service dog. I have a degree from Animal Behavior College in basic Dog Obedience and Basic Problem Solving 2010, and many training certificates for problem solving behaviors to help me rehabilitate dogs in need 2007-2015 from www.e-trainingfordogs.com. You can see all my degrees and certificates on my Facebook page. I plan on completing a degree through E-training for behaviorist as well. I plan on making helping others with dogs my purpose since I know how much a dog can make a difference. I have a service dog now that is 9 years old, and he has made the last 5 years of my life capable and independent again. I want to be able to give that to my clients. I want them to feel that they are able to be alone and safe with a canine that allows them to have their freedom back without having to depend on a human all the time. Their canine companion will always be there and will never judge them and will always be ready to go where ever they are asked to go with a happy wag of their tails, giving their handlers- who need that little extra boost- just a little more confidence to walk out the door and into the world. I know when I put on my dog's vest and I see how happy he is to go out into the world, it makes me feel that I am going to be safe with him. That he will watch over me, and I even though I am with only a canine companion, I am with a trusted friend who will not let me down. This friend, I go into the world, and I do my best for him because he in turn does his best for me. "He is your friend, your partner, your defender. He fills your home with happiness. You are his life, his love, his leader, you will fill his heart with happiness. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart."
