Cause Description:
The Asheville Area Arts Council is the arts umbrella organization for Buncombe County. We provide general operating grants to art organizations such as the Asheville Symphony, the Asheville Art Museum, and the YMI Cultural Center. We support many grassroots arts-based programs and sevearl individual artists in our community. New in 2000, we are introducing an arts in education initiative to be implemented in ALL Buncombe county schools K-12.
