The facility is licensed by the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services for the care of children ages 10 through 17 years in accordance to the Consolidated Standards for 24-hours Child Care Facilities. Stadium Emergency Shelter with the capacity to house 24 children. The facility’s primary source of referrals is from the Department of Protective and Regulatory Services. Residents placed with the agency are admitted based on a history of physical, sexual and emotional abuse as well as juvenile delinquency. Their family history is characterized by medical and physical neglect, abandonment, alcoholism, drug abuse, mental illness and lack of supervision. Stadium Emergency Shelter is committed to providing for children needing protection and that have been removed from their homes and families. Treatment is provided in a variety of modalities. Stadium Emergency Shelter respects the individual vales and cultural differences of each child and strives to promote and develop lives so that the residents become healthy individuals within society.
