Cause Description:
Con El is a non-profit, non-denominational organization of the diocese of Palm Beach. The goal of Con El is to collaborate with health care personnel in Cochabamba, Bolivia to improve health care. Surgery and care are given free to those who can not afford such services. Con El maintains no offices, telephones or other overhead. All donations are used for the maintenance and transportation of team members. All funding is secured from donations and underwriting of events. Medical supplies and medicines are donated. The care in Cochabamba is given to the children, the elderly and the poor. No monies are charged to those who receive care from the team - consisting of volunteer surgeons, nurses, anesthesia personnel, technicians and support personnel. The teams strive to do teach their counterparts good and improved health care while providing services to the people in need.
