The mission of the Washington Metro Foundation, Inc. is to raise awareness and educate dachshund owners and potential owners with respect to dachshund health and behavior, to offer rescues, low-income families and middle-income families in temporary financial crisis financial assistance when their dachshund is diagnosed with a treatable illness requiring expensive medical intervention to include life-sustaining medications, major medical, surgical intervention, rehabilitation and emergency vet care. That is why our logo is "supporting the dachshunds who own our hearts".
