Cause Description:
Our mission is to eradicate the harmful practice of female circumcision and forced early marriages of young girls in Maasai communities in Kenya. We work with communities to incorporate alternate rites of passage to replace these harmful practices. An important part of our work is sponsoring girls' education at the primary and high school levels. Education changes lives for the better! Educated girls/women attain literacy, have economic independence, live healthier lives, start their own businesses, and give back to their communities. Help us send as many girls as possible to school. They have dreams of becoming teachers, doctors, entrepreneurs, lawyers, social workers, bankers, accountants... Let's help them! Thank you.
