How can you look into the eyes of your child and deny them the opportunity to have a better life than you could have every dreamed? My son has been accepted into St. Augustine College Preparatory School. That in itself is an honor. He has proven himself worthy of their student body by his academics, athletic skills, and reccomendation letters by his teachers. St. Augustine Prep’s mission is to educate the whole person: body, mind and spirit, according to the gospel values of Jesus. As a Catholic-Augustinian school, St. Augustine Prep strives to uphold Christian values. Responsibility, respect for self and others, regard for the welfare of the community, pride in accomplishments, and the rights of everyone, involve each of them being persons of integrity whose actions demonstrate this commitment. St. Augustine strongly values the idea of creating the "Christian Gentlemen." They grow, learn, and mature by being living examples of "Veritas, Unitas, and Caritas" (Truth, Unity, and Love). With this in mind, all those who have graduated are now very successful in life. The average SAT score of a graduating student of St Augustine is a 1750. In 2009 the student body received over $19 MILLION in college scholarships. Unfortuately, we live in a time of a struggling economy. As the cost of living continues to rise it's difficult just to make ends meet. The financial burden the costs of Blake's tuition will bring are insurmountable. But it goes back to my first question; "How can I look into the eyes of my child and deny him the opportunity to have a better life than I could have every dreamed?" The answer; "I can't." That is why I am here. I am hoping and praying that you will find it in your heart to halp make my son's dream a reality. I am asking for a monatary donation that will provide a priceless education and promise of a better future. At at 4 we were told he would not being able to walk by his teenage years without an operation. At age 12 he was faced with two more surgeries after a growth spurt caused the first surgery to be "out grown". He stunned his family, friends, coaches, trainer, and even his surgeon by exceeding all expectations.
