Cause Description:
I have been selected to participate in the Levon Manukyan Collegium Musicum Summer Program for Emerging Composers in Bourgas, Bulgaria to record a new orchestral piece. On June 10 - 18, I will be one of a handful of selected composers from around the world who will hear his work rehearsed by a professional orchestra. I will engage in a week of intensive workshops and conferences from professional connections and network with colleagues from the arts industry. My goal as a composer is to gain international outreach in order to expose classical music to the untraditional audience: with a focus on youth. I have actively guest-lectured at schools in Austin with the approach of encouraging students to explore music composition and bring excitement to orchestral music through film scores, indie rock music, and full orchestral scores. With your help, I will successfully complete this project, reach a broader audience and return with another delightful piece to share with the world and continue to guest-teach.
